This week’s challenge at Stuff to Scrap was to create a mini-kit using a picture of a quilt made by Deanna as inspiration. I looked at the pics she gave us and thought for a long time. Then, I made a list of all the things that came to mind when I examined the quilt. The list included ideas such as farms, outdoors, playgrounds, tea parties, birthdays, pets, dinosaurs, even boo-boos, lol. I wanted my kit to be original, and I know there really aren’t enough “boy” kits out there, so I decided to do a dinosaur kit!

I hand-drew the dinosaurs using my new Bamboo pen tablet and made my own frames using wood textures that I had photographed and glitter that I created. I really like this kit and plan to add to it and turn it into a full-size kit when this competition is done! Click the preview to get the download links from the Stuff to Scrap forum, then scroll down for a quick page freebie that I made using my kit. Be sure to stop by Stuff to Scrap on Friday and Saturday to vote for me! Thanks and I hope you are enjoying the freebies!

And here is the QP freebie. Click the preview to download from 4Shared.

Happy Scrapping!

Hi, all!

Well, I started back to school this week! (Teachers only, no kids ’til Monday.  It’s weird being back to work after being home with my kids for 4 months.  It’s even weirder getting up at 6:15 every morning. I am NOT a morning person, lol.

In honor (or in sympathy?) of all those returning to school, I am releasing my new kit, “Gettin’ Educated!” It’s available at Scrap It Sassy and Digital Paper Hearts.

Want a free sample of my kit? Here is a quick page I made using “Gettin’ Educated.” It’s 12×12, but I saved it as a .png, so you can easily size it down. Click the preview to download from 4Shared. Enjoy!

I’ll be back this weekend with another quick page, plus a new Stuff to Scrap blog train kicks off on the first! (Here’s a hint: you’re going to “fall” in love with this blog train!) See you soon!

I just wanted to announce that I am now going to be selling my designs in two stores! I will have full size kits, mini kits, templates, and commercial use items available. You can find me at Butterfly Blush Designs and Scrap Heaven Boutique. I only have one product up so far, lol, but be sure to check back as I have a bunch of stuff in the works!

I will still be putting my  freebies here on this blog, but they will be available for download for one week and then will go into the dollar bin at my stores or will be added to larger kits. Blog train freebies will always be available for free.

And now, if you’ve read this far, here is a little present : ) .  This is the invitation I made for my darling daughter’s birthday party. The text is all in separate layers so that you can change it up. Use it as an invitation or  as a brag book quick page! Just click on the preview ro download. Enjoy!
