Sorry for the long absence, but I am finally back from vacation. We had a fabulous time at the beach, and I’m a little sad to be back home. I miss the sun and surf. But, at least I now have a ton of great pics to scrap!

In the midst of working on completing my next zoo kit this weekend, I am also potty training my two year old. Talk about a mess! We have been diaper-free for over 48 hrs now, and she’s still hit or miss (hehe!). I hope she gets the idea soon!

First of all, there is a store-wide 35% off sale at Scrap It Sassy this weekend! Jump on over and stock up on your faves! Plus, my good friend Lauren at Rustic Charm Creations is having her Grand Opening Sale this weekend, too! She has a lot of new stuff in the store, so be sure to check it out!

Today’s freebie comes from my new kit. I made a keychain frame similar to one I got at the beach (with the kids pics in it of course). This digital version has a cool leather texture and is grey-scaled for easy recoloring. I saved it in both .psd and .png this time, so anyone can use it! It’s CU-friendly- no credit necessary, but appreciated. If you are new to this and aren’t sure how to re-color it, just leave me a comment and I’ll give you some pointers. Hi, folks! I’m supposed to be on vacation this week, but we’re taking a stay-cation, so here I am. If you haven’t heard of a stay-cation before, it’s when you stay home and do things locally that you wouldn’t normally do. So far, we’ve taken the kids to the park, had breakfast out, and visited a mall we don’t usually go to. Tomorrow, dh is going golfing and I am taking the kids to a free movie at our local mall. Anyway…

Here is my latest kit: This Place Is A Zoo Wood Edition. It has 12 wooden animals, plus wood frames and word art. I learned how to make patterns from my papers, and then used those patterns to make bows from actions. So… everything coordinates! You can find this kit in all of my stores (blinkies are on the right!)

Now, I have a present for you. When you were a kid, did your grandmother keep treats for you in her hand bag? My great grandmother used to have candies for us, usually butterscotches and Certs (although she was from Baltimore, so she called them Zerts). As an alternative to the grab bag, I offer you my Grandmother’s Hand Bag, loaded with freebies for you! Whatever could be inside? If you peek inside and decide to leave me a message, be sure not to give away the surprise! Click the bag to open it. Enjoy!

Good morning! I have a got a ton of stuff to share today!

First of all, it’s my birthday this weekend. Since I decided that I will always be thirty, it only fits that it’s a 30% off sale!

Be sure to visit my stores at Butterfly Blush Designs and Scrap Heaven Boutique to take advantage of this sale!

Next line of business: I’m going to be opening up shop at Scrap It Sassy, too! Well, you might say, so what? You already have shops where we can get your stuff. The difference is that SIS will carry exclusive kits that you can’t find at my other stores.  Plus, the advantage for you to having different stores is that each store has special collaboration kits and sales that are unique, so you can be sure to get the best deals!

I posted updated TOU’s on my About page. Be sure to check there if you want to use my stuff beyond personal use. Also, you can e-mail me with any questions: strawbearybows@aol.com

I have several new kits in the works! I was just working on one, but I kept thinking about another one, too. Then, I got these awesome actions from Atomic Cupcake which got me excited about yet another project. Soooo, be on the look out for This Place Is a Zoo, which will be available at BBD and SHB, America, an exclusive for SIS, and a remastering of my Hungry Caterpillars kit!

If you’ve stuck with me this far, I think you deserve a freebie! Here’s a sneak peek at my new kit, This Place Is a Zoo. The full size kit will feature carved wood, chipboard, and tooled leather pieces with lots of fun animal prints and colors. Today’s freebie features the Scrappin’ Cop’s animal doodles carved in wood, plus an animal print paper. These won’t be in the kit, so be sure to snag them now!
